SWALES – FYI.  The swales in PP act as a large interconnected retaining pond (old school) or if you prefer, rainwater harvesting (new school).   Each lot must maintain their swale for the system to work efficiently.  Water drains and filters into the ground at different rates in different areas.  Keeping swales operational, allows water to pass to the point where it can be absorbed the quickest, minimizing the frog and mosquito population, and replenishing the ground water for your irrigation well.
