Quarterly Water Meter Readings

JUNE/JULY/AUGUST

Water usage this period:

A-the household AGPD was 270 (appears correct for this time of year)

B-the loss/waste factor was 11% (goal of <10%)

C-no downtime, no breaks, GVs were exercised (very good)

FYI, there will be 5 “high water use (>1000agpd)” letters issued this quarter, as we alert homeowners when their water use is excessive.

Additionally, there will be no “obstruction” letters issued, Thank you all!  Remember, as a homeowner, it is YOUR responsibility to maintain easy (and safe) access to your water meter.  And do not cover it with mulch or plants or grass…

The next meter reading will be scheduled for nov/dec.

Hi Neighbors

Meters were read Dec10.  Hats off again to our meter reader, Mark from ALSOP, for his accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness…

Overall, Water usage this quarter (Q4 2020) looked normal:

A-the AGPD per lot was 226   (about normal for fall)

B-however, the loss/waste factor was 12% !!   (that’s ~4000agpd, normally “waste” is < 7%)

C-only 1 line break occurred – thanks to Tim for the quick fix!

FYI, there will be only 2 “high water use” letters issued this quarter.  As we attempt to alert homeowners when their water use exceeds their “norm”.

Additionally, there will be no “obstruction” letters issued, Thank you all!  Remember, as a homeowner, it is YOUR responsibility to maintain easy (and safe) access to your water meter.  And do not cover it with mulch or grass…

The next meter reading will be scheduled for late Feb.

===============================================================

Overall, Water usage this quarter (Q3 2020) looked normal:

A-the AGPD per lot was 317   (about normal for summer)

B-however, the loss/waste factor was 19% !!   (that’s ~8000agpd, normally “waste” is < 7%)

C-(3) newly installed meters and the associated line breaks no doubt reflected in the “waste” percentage, again emphasizing the need to replace our failing gate valves…

FYI, there will be 4 “high water use” letters issued this quarter.  As we attempt to alert homeowners when their water use exceeds their “norm”.

Additionally, there will be 2 “obstruction” letters issued, as 2 meters could not be read due to the overgrown brush and bees.  Remember, as a homeowner, it is YOUR responsibility to maintain easy (and safe) access to your water meter.  And do not cover it with mulch or grass…

The next meter reading will be scheduled for late November.
