After attending the Vilano Beach Main Street Meeting yesterday, November 19^th, 2014, I felt it necessary to provide the community with a link to the draft language that was posted prior to the public meeting held in October. Just to touch base with those of you who may not be aware prior public meetings, staff met with the public in October to discuss proposed amendments to Section 3.10.00 North Coastal Overlay District: Vilano Beach of the Land Development Code. Prior to that public meeting, a draft, including a summary of the Residential Exchange of Units, was posted on the County’s website and also emailed out to members emails within the Vilano Beach Neighborhood Bill of Rights list and a staff initiated “distribution list”. In addition, copies of the aforementioned draft were handed out at the October 6^th public meeting to those in attendance.

Subsequent to the last community meeting on October 6^th, there have been no revisions made to the draft language (link to language below) regarding the Residential Exchange of Units program in Vilano Beach. A tentative schedule has been arranged for public hearings and is as follows:

December 16^th, 2014:                 Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)

January 15^th, 2015:                     Planning and Zoning Agency

February 17^th, 2015:                   Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), 2^nd reading
